Recap of Young and Reckless: Season 2 Miami Episode One — World Premiere
I’m back to recap Young and Reckless: Season 2! Ready? Let’s get started…
Episode One: “World Premiere Young the Reckless Season 2”
So Ferrari’s song, which is the show intro, is a banger. If you have been following my reviews, then you know that I like the song. It grew on me. Now she has a remix featuring Erica Banks.
The episode starts with a montage of fighting from season one. Did you happen to catch my limited reviews on last season? You might want to check them out.
Now the show is in Miami, and it seems like this season is about to be a bunch of fighting as well. So let’s see what it gives…
Meeting the First Arrivals
First, we are introduced to Sierra, who looks like a little cutie pie. She says she appeared on another Now That’s TV show called Close Friends. Did any of you happen to see it? Because apparently she was too reckless for that show, according to her. Well, we’ll see, won’t we?
Then we are introduced to another little mama named Baby Tyson. I want to know what’s up with casting all these little girls with big girls like Ivori. But when they show us a montage of Baby Tyson fighting on another show, I get it. They are picking women with heart regardless of size…but I just don’t want to see a bunch of small women getting slung around like rag dolls.
Geez!
Next, we see Sav Doll is back. I won’t give too much of my opinion on that or her for right now. I want to give her the same courtesy I give to the newbies. Maybe this is a new Sav, so my opinion of her might change or stay the same—who knows. But I will say she is still a beautiful brown-skinned girl.
The three of them meet up at a warehouse full of roped-off expensive cars on a treated marble floor and artwork on the black-painted walls. There’s a row of folding chairs. They have drinks in their red cups and sit down to get to know each other in three of the chairs. They seem to all be getting along. But they know what’s up because there are more chairs, which means there will be more women arriving shortly.
We learn that Baby Tyson is only 21 while the other two are 24. She tells the other two that Melanie Fox was her favorite from season one.
It seems like Sav’s mouth is still getting her in trouble. According to the conversation, Melanie is at odds with Sav over Sav’s claim that Melanie used cocaine. That’s an allegation, not something I can verify.
Hmmm, interesting.
If Sav is still the “confessional gangsta” she was last season, we can expect her to be at odds with a lot of women this season. She says she wanted to host this season of the show. Baby Tyson and Sierra feel Ferrari was not respected as the host of the first season, and I agree.
Canadian Barbie’s Age Becomes a Topic
Next, we meet Nugg, who has a fantastic smile. She comes off like a tomboy, but the smile lets you know she has a soft side to her as well.
Then, strutting in some fluorescent green lace pants, we are introduced to Canadian Barbie. She is from Toronto, Ontario, Canada, and for some reason, she has pink in her eyelashes. Do they do that there?
Well, Baby Tyson tells her she likes her off rip. Well, me? I’m going to reserve my judgment until I see a little more because the eyelashes are throwing me off.
Next, we are introduced to Rynaee Trill, a rapper from Houston, Texas. As soon as she walks in, she wins the girls over with her chill vibe, but she calls Sierra out for sneaking out of the house to be with a guy on her previous show.
Next, we find out Canadian Barbie is…wait for it…the big, grand, ripe old age of 32…
So?
But I get it. These other girls are in their early twenties—I mean, Baby Tyson is 21—and here Canadian Barbie is eleven years older than her. That’s a big difference. Nugg seems the most bothered by Canadian Barbie’s age.
We find out Sav has a daughter. She says she never spoke about her before because she was protecting her, and I get it—people will talk about your kids on these shows.
The Twins Arrive—and So Does the Shade
We next meet the twins, Tay Tay and Tinz Tinz. They are repping Alabama, trying to show us what Alabama is all about.
Nugg compliments Rynaee, who compliments her back, but in her confessional, Rynaee throws shade. Sav can see her and Rynaee being the closest in the house. Rynaee is liking Sav too. Sav also likes Nugg, but Rynaee doesn’t seem to—but doesn’t say it to her face. Well, it’s still early, so let’s see if she lets her know soon, or Imma think Rynaee is close to Sav because they are both confessional thuggin. Rynaee is coming off a little messy and a bit fake to me, but it’s still early. These confessionals may reflect things we haven’t seen yet—or it could be the editing.
Grills and Ferrari’s Ground Rules
The girls get fitted for grills, and they seem appreciative of the gift from their host.
Next…
Ferrari arrives at the warehouse in a black SUV to her song “Put It Down.” The girls seem excited to see her and to sing the song. She welcomes the girls and lets them know that “no lames allowed,” and they clap in appreciation for the grills. And Ferrari reminds us in the confessional that even though some might have doubted that she would be back as the host, this is her s**t.
Well, alright, Ferrari. She is letting the girls know that she will not be tolerating anyone putting their hands on her. A new Ferrari has apparently shown up this season. Alright, then—let’s see if the girls respect those boundaries.
They all get into a van and are drinking and twerking. They seem to all be enjoying themselves.
The Van Ride Goes Left
Then all of a sudden, Sav breaks into a speech. Sav says if anyone has a problem, basically, to let her know. She apparently is no longer just going to talk her mess in the confessionals—she is about to stand on business.
Ferrari is flirting with Nugg.
Ferrari wants to know if the girls are vibing with one another. Canadian Barbie says so far the energy has been good, but she feels Nugg doesn’t like her because she looked at her with a look…
Here we go!
Nugg is irritated.
Canadian Barbie seems tipsy to me, because that’s the only explanation I have for her next move. She climbs across the twins to seat herself across from Nugg so they might connect like on some woman-to-woman type of deal. For some reason, despite Nugg’s obvious dislike for her, Canadian Barbie feels moving closer to her would be a good idea. Well, let’s just see how this goes.
Nugg explains there is no friction and she doesn’t really get why Canadian Barbie is bringing anything up. She asks Canadian Barbie if she wants to fight. Well, that went left, so any other bright ideas, Barbie?
Lol.
They don’t end up fighting because Rynaee calls Barbie out for first having friction with Sav. Now, mind you, Sav is sitting next to Nugg, so this means Sav is directly across from Canadian Barbie. Remember this because this is important.
Canadian Barbie explains the only problem she had with Sav is that she was talking about her on the Internet…
Duh, that is what apparently Sav does.
But this is apparently not the season to try Sav. She admits she did throw shade at Canadian Barbie’s eyebrows online. But Sav doesn’t feel like being checked about it in front of everybody. Then it turns into a bunch of confusion. Sierra seems to say that Nugg threatened to punch Barbie—I think. Don’t get me to lying, because everybody starts talking at once, and Barbie looks confused about why Nugg wants to fight her. As Barbie gets closer to Sav, Sav starts swinging. Canadian Barbie and Sav are now fighting. Sav says she swung first because she thought Barbie was going to hit her…
They get them separated. Canadian Barbie’s eyelashes and wig are now off, and her accent sounds different to me. Whatever happened to clearing the air? She is pissed.
Sav and Canadian Barbie Hug It Out
They arrive at the house…
Canadian Barbie, with her wig back on, is in the house now, loudly complaining to Ferrari about having a fight.
Ferrari ends up bringing Sav over so that she and Canadian Barbie could talk out their differences. They end up hugging it out.
Switch…
Sav is explaining that this season she is addressing issues head on, and Baby Tyson is letting us know she is digging the new and improved way that Sav is handling things.
Finally, the girls notice how fabulous the house is that they are in, and I must say, the house is gorgeous!
Ferrari has the ladies seated on huge white couch seating to ask them individually how they are feeling so far…
She is glad Canadian Barbie and Sav squashed the beef over the eyebrow comment. She wants to have fun, not beef over anything petty. She asks if Canadian Barbie and Nugg are alright. And Nugg says Barbie doesn’t want to fight, so yeah. Barbie says, “What are we fighting for? Next.”
Nugg and Canadian Barbie End on a Cliffhanger
But Canadian Barbie doesn’t read the room, because when she said next, Nugg’s irritation turns to anger.
How does the episode end?
Nugg gets up, charges at Canadian Barbie, and the two start fighting! Whew—and we haven’t even met the rest of the cast yet!
That was the premiere, yawl! Between the van fight, the brief peace treaty, and that final blowup, Miami is already off to a reckless start.
What did you think of the premiere? Was Canadian Barbie trying to clear the air, or was that van conversation always going to go left? Drop your thoughts in the comments, and be sure to catch the next recap!
