My Top 10 Bad Girls Club Blondies: The Blonde Bad Girls Who Proved They Were Bad

Image
One of the shows I binge-watched during the days of social distancing was Bad Girls Club . Remember that guilty pleasure? If you watched it religiously like I did, then you already have your favorites, and trust me, they will all get their time to shine in future posts for the BGC fans. We are used to blondes being labeled ditzy or sweet, but not every blonde is demure and calm. Some of them do not play. Blondes may have more fun, but these blondes also proved they were bad. This post is all about the blonde Bad Girls who surprised us with their badness. So, are you ready to stroll down memory lane with the Bad Girls who made us respect their gangsta? Let’s get started, shall we? “Do not let the blonde hair fool you. Some of the sweetest-looking girls in the house were the ones nobody wanted to try.” 1. Why Is Arionne Curry Called “Coleslaw”? The Psychology Behind the Nickname

Image
Before we get into it, let’s clear something up: Arionne Curry’s name is not Coleslaw. That is not a nickname her family gave her. It is not a cute little pet name. And no, it has nothing to do with a bowl of cabbage sitting next to somebody’s barbecue plate. If you have spent any time in Love & Marriage: Huntsville conversations online, then you have probably seen the name repeated so often that you may have wondered where it even came from. Baby, the internet has called Arionne Curry “Coleslaw” for so long that some people barely use her actual name anymore. I remember when the commentary around this situation was fresh. I wrote about Arionne years ago on my former blog, When This Woman Speaks , while reacting to commentary from Funky Dineva. So this is not me coming late to the party with a plate in my hand. I remember the interviews, the social-media back-and-forth, the threats, the messy opinions, and the way everybody had something to say about Ma...

Image
Reality-TV shade is supposed to be quick, loud, and disposable. Somebody has a bad wig. Somebody cannot fight. Somebody’s outfit looks cheap. The house laughs, the cameras catch it, and by next week everybody has moved on to a fresh argument. But the rumor aimed at Lauren Michelle during Baddies Gone Wild: Dominican Republic did not operate like ordinary shade. It went straight for the most personal kind of embarrassment a woman can be handed in public: an allegation about her intimate hygiene. That is why the conversation around Lauren became bigger than one messy scene, one reaction, or one group of girls arguing in a house. The point was never simply to win an argument. The point was to make her feel exposed. To make a beautiful woman wonder whether people were laughing when she walked away. To make viewers repeat the accusation until it followed her beyond the show, beyond the vacation, and into every comment section where somebody wanted an easy joke. And let us be clea...
